In which my Speech classmates choose my persuasive topic
My speech class is very tiny. Including myself, there are only 11 people in the class. Today, we were all waiting for Mr. B. to get there and one guy stood up and said, "I have an announcement. We're taking a class field trip to the strip club in Boyd. Attendence is mandatory and if you don't go, you have to write a paper. Who's in?" Everyone raised their hands except for me. Kiri (KB, she has your name, only spelled different!) said "Come on MJ, why not? If you don't go you have to write a paper." I said, "I'd RATHER write a paper, and besides, I don't answer to you guys anyway." Then I got to thinking . . . I could so do a speech on the problem of the objectivity and dehumanization of women as a result of pornography. As a result of pornography, women are seen as sex objects, not something of value. They're not treated with respect and dignity. It's so sad . . . And let's not even mention the moral decay that comes as a result of pornography. I'm gonna talk to my professor about this topic after class tomorrow.
