Memoirs

Memoirs, as someone put it, are slices of life. They're just a small but significant portion of the whole story. And that's what this is -- snippets of my story.

In which I take the bull by the horns

Sometimes you have to take the bull by the horns. And I did. I put something about DTR in my screenname last night, and Sarah IMed me and asked me what DTR was. Sarah has never been nice to me and she hasn't been talking to me for about a year. I was very surprised that she said something to me and I said, "Why are you talking to me?" I asked her if she was willing to listen to me and she said no, she was going to leave. I don't know if she read what I typed at her, but I decided to type away, because if she DID decide to read it, it might help things. I tried to be very humble, but I don't know if I succeded. I told her why I don't like being around her and explained how her words and her attitude not only show her negative side, but they also give Jesus a bad reputation. I told her that she really needs to watch what she says and how she says things and I explained that if she wants to be in leadership at Cru, she really needs to address these things because they are extremely serious. I saw her today but she completely ignored me. That's totally fine -- but I do think she needs to grow up.

Last night, we were at Perkins and Lisa asked the police people to show her their tasers. They were explaining tasers to us and they said that in order for them to be allowed to carry them, they have to be tasered themselves. I hadn't known what tasers were before that, and I said, "So tasers don't kill you . . . " Lol -- the police people laughed. It was great.

Lisa and I had coffee with a couple of women from church. It was really awesome. :-)
